  • Naked Neck

    $12.00Price

Chicks are all sold as straight run meaning you may get a hen or rooster

Naked necks are known as Turkns, they are a chicken breed with a bare skin on its neck and vent area.

Appearance the breed has less than half of its feathers with no feathers on the neck and vent area. They come in different feather colors, but with less feathers on them, our kids called them no neck. The roosters carry a single comb and the head and neck becomes bright red from sun exposure.

Egg Production They lay light brown eggs, about 180-240 per year.

Temperament  They are know to be docile, very calm and tend to mind their business. they are considered easy to care for and making them a great choice for families. They love to forage, very curious, but not too affectionate and they tolerate both heat and cold weathers so they are hardy.

Origin   They originated from Romania, some say from Asia, but i will stick with Romania why because they give me that Transylvania type vibe, very unique birds they are.

Expect any feather colors when you make your order. They may come black, tan, brown, white and some yellow feathers. As they grow, those might change the feather colors. The image you see is a cover photo of chicks hatched in the past.
